5. RTI Success

April, 2010: The Journal, “Transforming Education Through Technology,”reports on the work of School Specialty, developing intervention products to reduce reading achievement gaps for grades 3 through 12. Pupils work with a teacher plus online material. It fits the needs of English language learners. Programs can be individualized and are designed to support reading comprehension.

“MCI (Making Connections Intervention) provides lessons which focus on the needs of students in the targeted and intensive tiers of the response to intervention (RTI) guidelines. It’s aimed at struggling readers in middle school, as well as older students.”
